so on this significant day which comes only once in 4 years, i decided to not waste it away by just going for project meeting (all the way back to campus & back home). and last night i suddenly had this drive to make today more memorable than a normal day, and so i jio-ed her

out to watch THE LEAP YEARS.

its a nice show, and significant because of what it revolves around. though i think the man only looks good at first sight (cos subsequent times that he appeared i was like, his charm is gone), its an interesting show :)

and i think the one person that should watch this is joce. yes you jocelyn liao! for reasons untold haha.

the next time a feb 29 comes, i'll be turning 25. my goodness.

God,

this is for You.

not to me, O Lord, not to me
but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.

Praise You from whom all blessings flow!
and with what You have given me i take it, multiply it, and return it in full measure. for if there's a testimony to be shared and a chance for Your name to be magnified, i cannot hide it. and so if you dear friend need some form of encouragement, here goes: its when i'm weak that He can be strong.

love is a many splendoured thing
love lifts us up where we belong

you are the everlasting God
the everlasting God
you do not faint
you won't grow weary

you're the defender of the weak
you comfort those in need
you lift us up on wings like eagles

happy valentine's day to all my dear friends :)

the flooded mind.

know what is the worst-ever compliment someone can give?

he's so good looking!
you've got sucha pretty face :)

why?
because these are things that they have no control over.

our shallow world, hello. see how things are on this earth?

how you invest your time shows alot about what you think is important. look ravishing, exercise to impress. work for what you think matters, all the while forgetting that there's such a thing as eternity.

and i love it--how although my mind is filled with discomfort, excuses and a certain degree of questioning and hurt, all that appears to me are these 3 words: cross-shaped love. and i am happy. because i have not wasted my time. because this tells me i am practising what i'm preaching.

so, a toast to love. not the kind that you pick from the streets. but the kind that flows from the cross. from the one who was bogged down by the world's sin, past present and future, till the Father had to turn away from Him.

this is love.
not that we first loved Him.
but that He loved us first, and gave Himself up for us.

cross-shaped love, is all that i can think about. not anything else, not even the things that show me that life is unfair. because although life is unfair, God is not.
