something pastor j.h said today at rupen&jasmine's wedding kinda struck me.

"married couples are even more able to understand the kind of love God has for His church, because we are His bride."

and i thought that to be very true indeed. and in the shower i was just thinking...

you know bright & early in the morning when the groom goes to get his bride, and meets with the evil sisters who torture the brothers before finally giving him access to her? what if the last requirement was that he die for her?

morbid i know and absolutely impossible for obvious reasons, and doesn't happen (duh). but Jesus died so that we could have access to each other, right? and its actually heartening to think that God would call us His Bride. the bride is the one person everyone looks at, everyone fusses over (think ppl taking turns to get the train of her gown), and is indeed the most resplendent. no wonder God has to take so much pains to make us better & better, so we're nothing less than glorious on that day.

just a thought :)

aside to bennett: miss you too! your post was most hilarious but v touching at the same time :)

back from church camp, liked every bit of it. had the awesome privilege of playing every worship session, without any pressure cos joanne was there playing main with uncle see seng leading, together with good drummers adriel/zeke & guitarist uncle paul.

God, i got much encouragement the last few days. but as i wrote in my journal, the one thing i'll always remember, and the one thing that truly gripped my heart was when you sent her upstage to individually shake our hands. when she looked us each in the eye and said "thank you". and then i was reminded that it's truly all your work, and none of ours.

a different experience. thank you.

now, more photos :)
