On the World Beyond
Haha I can't believe it! My blog still exists!
I don't expect anyone to be seeing this anymore, except Coll (HELLO there). And actually for some time now, I've wanted to kinda revive this, as an outlet to share what's inside, beyond the superficiality of FB.
:)
I will always have a soft spot for Cambodia. Not because I particularly love the place, but because the people I have known since my first trip there have become my friends. And friends (hopefully) stay friends for as long as possible. We've come to share our stories with each other, and grow up with each other.
If there's one quote that has to remembered from my last trip, it's this, said by Linna one day while I was hanging in their dorm.
"Sister! You know, every time your team comes, every time you, sister Edlyn, sister Judy comes, something special happens that never happens before. Always something good comes out of it...."
And this is why I keep going back. We have been granted the ministry of reconciliation. These 2 girls below used to be really great friends, but haven't been talking to each other for the longest time. And the other girls in the dorm are torn between who to follow, cos their group used to hang out together. On Monday night, this happened.
The girls declared, it wasn't just a great night for the two of them. It was so for every one. Simply because two people had reconciled.
In other news, I am praying for a friend in Pakistan whom I met through ICYC. He FB messaged about the situation there, and they're seriously thinking of re-locating, perhaps to Asia. He has a 6-weeks old baby and the people there are taking Christians out of their homes and killing them.
God, mercy.
