BYE BYE CURLS.

in a nutshell, i feel, lightheaded. haha. literally. dont know how many pounds of protein was shed off when i visited the hairdresser's today! but it was indeed very sad to see the curls of, 1yearplus fall like rain. snip snip snip. worry not! curls will ressurect itself later part of the year :)

the weekend was rather happening! with free indiana jones movie courtesy of citibank, and then movie night--i am legend, stardust, hairspray. third time watching stardust & still its nice. the more times you watch it, the more you understand it. good movie! & hairspray is so singalong! my fav song from in there: GOODMORNING BALTIMORE :) abby please, the song!

last thurs was the very exciting & tenderhooking surprise party for joanne. haha she totally didn't suspect anything, which was good! & i guess my acting was not bad either hahaha :) ma maison is a really cosy place with good food. the beef straganoff with butter rice is AWESOME. then headed to nydc for the actual mindblowing celebration. took lotsa pics & they are indeed wonderful memories!

wait till my 21st is here haha :)

meanwhile, melbourne beckons in 1.5 weeks! :)

boy in shower

i really like getty images. and this is one of my personal favs, among others that i dutifully save in my not-so-trusty laptop.

life has been rather slack, indeed a good break from all the mugging :) heading off for flcomm retreat tmr which starts after church & i think its gonna be great, tho 1 night only. and 1 night only means that everything will be packed down to the second, busy with discussion & activity. but this is one yearly event that i look forward to :)

let me make a few random statements:

1. my top 2 dream workplaces are airport & hospital. the first has an unfathomable lure that i cannot resist. its just, one of the places i love the most.

2. wisdom is a weird thing. solomon asked for wisdom & was praised. and ecclesiastes goes on to say that wisdom is meaningless.

3. i kinda agree--> "the more knowledge, the more grief"

4. read duaboss' blog & i totally agree with her about donations.

5. what do you do if you were stuck under a gazillion tonnes of rubble after an earthquake? scream for help? lose hope? cross your heart and pray?

earthquakes. bloodline. events that shatter. the first physically, the second spiritually. are YOU strong enough to resist what bloodline will show you in a couple of months time? maybe. not.

and a last statement:
what do you do when you're slowly eked out of your niche where comfort & joy reside?

THIS IS HOW IT FEELS LIKE

FREEEEE :D

YEEEEEHHAAAAAAAAAAA!! :D

life was study eat sleep for the past few weeks & its been a crazily crazy semester taking 3 level 3000 modules for the first time! but noww its an awesome feeling! & for the next few months, no studies whatsoever! :)

there was indeed a brief sense of loss immediately after the paper. like, now what do i do. cos everyday's been the same and now i have to substitute studying for something else. which is a VERY good thing.

haha now for the better things of life.
of slacking, watching movies/vcds/dvds
of reading jodi picoult & other books
of shopping & going out
of hanging out with friends
and of course, of travelling to melbourne :)

thank You for your sustenance
love, sophie
