yesterday i worked till 10pm cos of a quarterly company event.
today i worked till 9.
but i think its not a coincidence, that when i get home and check my email, i see that pastor chonghui has requested for "make a certain breakthrough" to be sung as the closing song this sunday.
not a well-known song, but i've posted the lyrics here before, during the jobsearch period when i was really down.
then the spirit of God broke through
and healed my broken wings
and showed me the way
into his heart
not a coincidence. thank You for the reminder that it is You who have called me there, that i'm not simply settling for this job because i've got no other options.
my one life for Your purpose, Jesus
i offer up this day
to follow You completely
to do all that You say
on a brighter note, work has been good.

first week of work is ending!
and work has made me realize: now instead of waking up and simply expecting to sit there and learn/absorb, you're expected to wake up, get yourself to work despite how you feel, contribute to the company, show you're giving your best at what you do, and produce results. what a stark difference.
that said, work has been interesting and meaningful. i'm only in the office for an average of 3-4 hours everyday. except for today, i have been heading out after lunch for home visitations. i like working with kids :) each of them are so different. and this morning i met an 8 year old boy who won my heart! won it even more when i asked him what his favourite colour was, and without thinking he said "rainbow". RAINBOW! of all the people in my life, everyone always says red/pink/black etc. no one ever says rainbow. when he said RAINBOW! i was like, hello friend :)
they're all really endearing.
K held my hand as he walked with me downstairs, helped me hide my bag, smiled at me.
D is matured for her age and God-willing, i hope i'll be able to positively impact her life.
I & I were hard to differentiate, but i finally found a way to tell them apart.
S has a pretty smile and is supposedly like a chatterbox.
R & S are active boys and i can't wait to know them more.
when all the kids are properly handed over to me, i'll have 33 of them under my care. WOAH HELP.
also, thanks be to God, for giving me the chance of a lifetime to watch voyage de la vie last night for free!! had always wanted to but didn't because of price & lack of company. but here, within my first week at work, i got to watch it :) now i don't hafta look at the brochures/sistic website/advertisements with disappointment and longing in my eyes :):) THANK YOU LORD.
tmr's exercise day. think i'll be fit as a fiddle after 6 months. likes the idea of that :)
have a good friday guys :)
