PERTH

:)

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

well, simple things like watching jim brickman's piano concert + hearing angelic voices singing his songs always take me away to somewhere further than earth. his songs are hopeful, so he says, which i agree.

perth in 4 days! abit surreal like cannot believe it. well, i will feel it on friday night! :)

so, dad bought a dslr and i've been trying to play with it. why wasn't i born with any decent photography skillssss? hence have to try & do homework so at least photos look abit nicer than if i didn't do any hw.

photography's interesting, for now :)

was lured to the sistic counter as usual, while walking around TampOne with the bros yesterday.

and i'm so happy exciting things are coming up! there was totally a lull the last few months of last year and the beginning of this year, save for voyage de la vie which was a total surprise :)

so anw. picked up the sistic program booklet and studied it today, circling things i wanna go for.

sounds like i wanna go for many but haha nope. just 2 that i've circled, and one or two on KIV.

1. jim brickman concert this saturday!
2. VISION- magic show by lawrence & priscilla khong. loved MAGICBOX 3 years ago :)

love these things, an unfortunate "hobby" since it often costs some money. but wells. just think of it as rewarding myself every now and then.

thankful for public holiday on tuesday! :)

GE has irritated me beyond measure. come on people! we need to THINK more and TALK LESS.

electing your government is a serious matter. and it scares me most, that too few people think its scary. for goodness sake, please, don't just vote for a non-PAP party cos you're unhappy with a few policies/mistakes they made. listen to what they say. and think.

we all know no government is perfect. but what we have, is that they erred on the better side. peace, stability, is NOT to be taken for granted. yes, we can think of how our lives can be better if this or that happened or didn't happen. but who's to say the opposition can do a better job?

its partly the ruling party's fault that we have grown to expect so much of them. afterall, they have been successful on many a fronts. but stop aiming for a perfect government cos there ain't one.

it irks me how people are so easily swayed. THINK more, talk less. everyone has bashed the ruling party, but few has come up with real, possible solutions. this party has been there, done that. are we willing to put all these on the frontline?

people like us have got nothing to compare to. we were born into a relatively affluent country. so we desire more, and more, and more. don't just vote cos you want alternative voices. that's too simplistic a thinking.

they need to be kept in check. correct. very correct. and i think this election has done just that. they have been humbled, but i think we should move forward. how can any government stride forward with clear purpose and direction if there are always clouds of voices stirring confusion?

i'm actually very stunned at myself, that i even bother so much, given i can easily be crowned miss politically unaware prior to GE. but it has irked me way. too. much.

think before you vote, please.
cliche but very true, that
every.
vote.
counts.

okay.

on a happy note,

I SAID THE SINNER'S PRAYER WITH ONE OF MY KIDS TODAY! the most impossible case, ever. EVER. ren jian you qi ji.
